The Taste of Port Hope will be back on October 4th at the Lion’s Centre for its 17th year, offering a sampling of some of our community’s best and diverse eateries and long term health residences. Join Northumberland United Way and the Port Hope and District Chamber of Commerce, for a culinary celebration of local restaurants!
Doors open for the annual event at 11:30 a.m. at the Port Hope Lion’s Centre, 29 Thomas Street. Tickets can be purchased for $20 at United Way, 62 Swayne Street, Cobourg or the Port Hope Chamber office, 58 Queen Street, Port Hope. Tickets will be offered for purchase at the door as available.
Some of the establishments participating include Summer Hill B&B and Tearoom, Olympus Burger, Rey Ray’s, Extendicare Port Hope and Roseglen Village for seniors.
“This is a great, annual event celebrating local business and the Port Hope culinary scene,” says Heather Norris, United Way CEO. “Thank you to the Port Hope and District Chamber of Commerce for hosting this annual event; the local participating eateries who donate their food, time and services to support United Way; and to all those planning to attend. Over the past 16 years, more than $47,500 has been raised to improve the lives of 1 in 4 people in Northumberland County.”
All proceeds raised from the Taste of Port Hope will support Northumberland United Way and our work to create real change in our community.
